SAE INFORMATION
All proficiency and degree applications must derive from a valid SAE as defined by the Oregon FFA Association.
SAE Policies (see below) and must fit into one of the National FFA Proficiency Award areas. A student’s SAE is considered appropriate and applicable for a state FFA degree when the teacher and student is able to answer “yes” to question 1 and “yes” to either question 2 or 3.
1. Does the supervised experience involve the application of agriculture content standards and employability skills?
AND
2. Does the supervised experience contribute to the production, processing and/or marketing of an agricultural, horticultural, or natural resource products or the scientific research of an agricultural product or process?
OR
3. Does the supervised experience provide a service for the industries of the AFNR cluster?
CDE & LDE Information
CDE stands for Career Development Events
LDE stands for Leadership Development Events
Through Career and Leadership Development Events, participating FFA members in grades 7 to 12 are challenged to develop critical thinking skills and effective decision-making skills, foster teamwork and promote communication while recognizing the value of ethical competition and individual achievement. CDE and LDE events occur at the local, state and national levels.

AET
The AET is an Agriculture Experience Tracker where students record all of their experiences to help them learn life skills.
The AET system is a comprehensive student-centered agricultural education management system designed to help students track their educational experiences (classroom, SAE, and FFA) and document them in a way to help them learn life skills and improve their decision-making. A core value of AET is students learning to track their experiences, which develops their digital portfolio and allows them to leverage their data to complete state and national award applications.
